A special bathtub for special moments: Villeroy & Boch’s premium collection Finion transforms the bathroom into a space where time seems to stand still. Elegant shapes, fine materials and soft lighting will make your daily bathing routine a luxurious pampering escape. For ISH 2019, this complete bathroom collection is unveiling new colours and combinations to allow even greater variety.

TitanCeram: a material for sublime shapes

The renowned designer Patrick Frey exploited the excellent material properties of TitanCeram in creating Finion: “I took full advantage of the benefits of TitanCeram for the flowing, strongly contoured design of the washbasins as this material allowed me to make very thin and fine forms.” The result is ten ceramic washbasin models, including wall-mounted and surface-mounted washbasins with wall thicknesses of just 6 mm. The selection encompasses surface-mounted, wall-mounted and vanity washbasins, ranging from a compact 43 cm hand-washbasin to a generous 130 cm double washbasin. An integrated ceramic valve, available optionally with the ViFlow overflow system, blends harmoniously into the washbasin surface, emphasising the collection’s premium character.

The wall-mounted toilet and bidet enhance the bathroom setting with their clear linear design. The rimless toilet is invisibly secured with SupraFix and fitted with DirectFlush technology. The SoftClosing feature closes the slim 40 mm thick toilet seat softly and silently, while QuickRelease allows the seat to be removed quickly and easily for cleaning. To improve comfort, on request, the ViClean-I 100 shower toilet can also be integrated into the Finion bathroom design.

New colours and combinations: Finion furniture reveals its diversity

The Finion furniture range reflects the delicate design of the washbasins with edge and carcass thicknesses of just 8 mm. As the vanity washbasin is almost perfectly aligned with the base unit, the ceramic and furniture merge into a consistent visual entity. Handleless doors and push-to-open drawers complete the elegant effect. The collection comes with a choice of base units for vanity washbasins as well as for surface-mounted and wall-mounted washbasins in a wide range of sizes. Finion can now also be combined with surface-mounted washbasins from other TitanCeram collections: with Artis, Collaro and Memento 2.0 providing new and exciting options.

The modular shelves also impress with a striking design featuring precise edges and borders with faceted details. They are very robust and durable thanks to their high-quality, scratch-proof surfaces. Coordinating tall cabinets and side cabinets provide additional storage space. An exciting highlight is the optional smartphone charging station for side cabinets and shelves. Two mirror models in different sizes complete the range.

The colour concept for the Finion furniture range was developed by the German-Danish designer Gesa Hansen. One particular feature is the option of combining the colours for the front, carcass and shelves according to personal taste - for example a glossy white shelf unit with a matt gold interior. If you are unsure about which shades work best together, Gesa Hansen has provided some suggested combinations for guidance. The selection includes classic colours such as a matt or glossy white, fine grey and deep black, as well as vibrant trendy shades including expressive Cedar green, soft Cloud blue, elegant red and violet Peony and radiant Sun yellow. Matt gold adds a striking elegant touch, while the warm, dark walnut veneer provides a modern and natural component in the interior design. Glass panels are available in a choice of White Matt, Black Matt or the new Sand Matt to match the vanity units.

The range now also includes warm, minimalist colours in the matt shades of Sand, Olive and Midnight Blue, as well as the shiny and intense Glossy Black. The new veneer surface in the natural wood shade of Oak Veneer also opens up new design options.

Emotional atmosphere: Integrated lighting concept

The Finion lighting concept is a complete solution permeating the entire collection, from furniture to mirrors and ceramics. All furniture models are available with the continuously dimmable emotion lighting function, allowing you to adapt the atmosphere in the room to suit your mood. One of the two Finion mirror models is also fitted with an illuminated LED border and emotion feature. Optional extras include a sound system and anti-fog function. The integrated lighting concept even extends to the freestanding Quaryl® bath, making it appear to float on a pedestal of light. The optional design rings in Gold, Champagne and Chrome amplify the effect. A remote control can be used to selectively dim and operate individual light elements.

Bathing in luxury: Quaryl® monolith for special moments

The free-standing Quaryl® bath, which boasts a delicate design with precise, extremely thin 15 mm edges, is another highlight of the Finion collection. The monolith is made from Quaryl® and boasts impressive design and material quality. Despite compact outer dimensions of 170 x 70 cm, it still has a generous internal area, comparable to a traditional 180 x 80 cm bathtub, and ensures the best bathing experience. This feature also makes it ideal for smaller bathrooms.

The Finion bathtub is available in different versions: with and without a design ring on the outside of the bath or with an optional emotion light feature. The design ring in the colours Chrome, Champagne or Gold adds a touch of elegance to the bath. The lighting effect on the bottom outside surface of the bath, in a choice of colours and continuously dimmable using a remote control, makes the bathtub appear to float on a pedestal of light. This emotion feature is available with or without the design ring. It is even possible to select a dual-colour finish with a bright white interior and coloured panel. There are so many colours to choose from. As well as the shades in Gesa Hansen’s colour concept, the panel can also be supplied in all Sikkens and RAL shades (except for metallic colours) – with either a matt or gloss finish, depending on your taste. A push-to-open valve matching the metallic shades of the design ring and an optional colour-coordinated water inlet add the finishing touches to the design concept.

Finion has received the iF Design Award and Red Dot Award on several occasions, two of the most prestigious design accolades in the world. The freestanding bath, vanity washbasin with vanity unit and toilet with matching seat have been selected for awards.
