Siluet 60 R: user-friendly sink with a half bowl

Last autumn, under the banner of “The beauty of fine shapes”, Villeroy & Boch unveiled the first range of kitchen sinks made from the innovative TitanCeram ceramic material. The Siluet family is now welcoming a new addition: the Siluet 60 R, with a second smaller basin for greater functionality at the sink area.

The new Siluet 60 R model for 60 cm base units makes working at the sink even more convenient and flexible. It can be used as a practical strainer bowl, to easily wash fruit, salad or vegetables, or to rinse dirty crockery. One particular advantage: standard stainless steel steamer bowls fit perfectly in the small basin, allowing you to prepare food directly at the sink and steam after cooking.

The Siluet 60 R has even more to offer than impressive functionality: its clear and yet sensuous lines, developed by the renowned designer Patrick Frey, make the ceramic sink a stylish highlight in modern, urban kitchens. Its striking design features include a narrow mounting rim, small-radius corners and a linear inner basin.

The sink owes this filigree design to the innovative TitanCeram material. This special blend of natural raw materials allows the production of ceramic products with sharply defined edges and thin walls while guaranteeing high stability. TitanCeram also offers all the material advantages of high-quality ceramic: all Siluet models are food-safe and lightfast, resistant to knocks, impacts and scratches as well as heat and cold. The CeramicPlus surface finish ensures hygiene and easy cleaning.

As well as the 60 R sink, the Siluet is also available for base unit widths of 60 cm, 50 cm and 45 cm. All models come in a choice of 13 ceramic colours. The tap fitting can be supplied with either a manually operated or pop-up waste outlet. A diverse selection of accessories is also available to streamline workflows: a chopping board, made from walnut wood, that fits precisely in the drainage area for food preparation, as well as multifunctional steamer bowls and stainless steel wire baskets.

The basins can be integrated on either side, allowing flexible positioning of the Siluet sink. All models are suitable for either flush-fitting or surface-mounted installation. The flush-fitting option allows very easy cleaning and also makes work surfaces appear larger, very elegantly emphasising a minimalist modern interior design. In the classic integrated version, Siluet is mounted on top of the work surface, clearly differentiating the sink area from the rest of the space. With its narrow mounting rim, Siluet also coordinates harmoniously with the overall kitchen design in this installation version.

Siluet was awarded the “KitchenInnovation of the Year 2018” consumer prize at the Ambiente trade fair in Frankfurt. Siluet convinced experts and consumers in the criteria of innovation, product benefits, design and material composition.
