Villeroy & Boch and Dornbracht are ending the long-standing partnership

Villeroy & Boch AG and Dornbracht AG & Co. KG will end their long-standing partnership in the bathroom taps and fittings segment at the end of 2023. This means the production and distribution of Villeroy & Boch bathroom taps and fittings by Dornbracht, which is regulated by the existing licence agreement, will come to an end next year. Service and spare parts for the products will remain available. With this mutual decision, the companies are reflecting their respectively changed strategic alignments.

Villeroy & Boch and Dornbracht can look back on 20 years of successful cooperation in the taps and fittings sector. At the same time, the end of this cooperation is the starting point for Villeroy & Boch to consistently continue the path of its own range of taps and fittings, which it began years ago in non-European markets, such as China and the Gulf region. At Dornbracht, the company transformation that began under new management in 2020 is leading to a more consistent orientation to the core competences of the brand and to the expansion of the portfolio and service.

The new Villeroy & Boch taps and fittings are perfectly matched to the brand’s bathroom collections, are easy to install and are of uncompromisingly high quality. In this way, they ensure an easier, safe and time-saving bathroom design implementation.

With the launch of bath and shower fittings as well as accessories, Villeroy & Boch will also be represented in the European key markets with its own product range starting in September 2022. The taps and fittings are developed via their own centres of competence in Mettlach, Germany and Vargarda, Sweden, supported by an international production network.

Villeroy & Boch stands for first-class materials and craftsmanship, trend-setting design and optimal functionality. This standard will be continued with their own range of taps and fittings, which meets consumer desires for a comprehensive and coordinated product range, all from a single source.

Dornbracht is focusing on core competence and services

The transformation process started at Dornbracht in 2020 includes, among other things, a consistent alignment of the company towards growth and strengthening the product and service offer of the Dornbracht brand. Under the new claim “Leading Designs for Architecture”, the company highlights its standard of creating advanced and trend-setting design fittings and water experiences.

In addition to product develop based on clearly defined design principles, this also includes ensuring an unparalleled service quality. The consistent orientation towards the needs of architects, trade and crafts is the foundation of the cooperation with market participants here.

In this sense, Dornbracht will continue to service the Villeroy & Boch fittings range delivered from Iserlohn and maintain the supply of spare parts for at least ten years.
